Social Media Day began as a way to recognize and appreciate social media’s impact on the way our world communicates. Every year for the past seven years events have been held around the globe to acknowledge the influence of social media. The event is a great resource for expanding your network and learning more about social media and how to use it. For $55, you can attend the VIP Reception which begins at 5:30 and will include a number of special guests speaking on the intersection of technology and community. The main event begins at 7pm and admission is free. A number of Detroit based brand and start ups will be there to network with, and there will be live entertainment occurring throughout the evening.
