Just over a year ago, the developers at Periscope became fascinated by the idea of discovering the world through someone else’s eyes. What if you could see through the eyes of a protester in Ukraine? Or watch the sunrise from a hot air balloon in Cappadocia? It may sound crazy, but they wanted to build the closest thing to teleportation. While there are many ways to discover events and places, they realized there is no better way to experience a place right now than through live video. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but live video can take you someplace and show you around. (source: periscope.tv)
Now, what does that mean for us here at Specs Howard School? Specs Howard is different from many other schools. We're a school full of creatives. From our instructors, to our students, to our faculty. We want you to learn more about us than just what's written on our website or our print pieces. We think it is important to show our students, potential students, and our community what we actually do. What a better way to show people this than through an un-filtered, un-edited, LIVE stream?
On our Periscope we will be broadcasting from different events that we're at or hosting like our Open Houses, Graduation Ceremonies, and video shoots. We'll take you on tours of our different locations. We'll talk with our Instructors and Graduates. We may even pop into a class to see what our students are learning!
