# 5 Best Graphic Design iPhone Apps

If you are like a lot of people, you ran out, stood in line and waited patiently for your brand new iPhone 5. You then ran home and texted all of your friends and bragged about how amazing it was, but now the thing just sits there on your desk begging to be played with. "If only I could find a way to use this amazing lightweight gadget for more then Angry Birds, Instagram, and plain old boring phone calls" you say to yourself. Want no more, we have searched high and low in the App Store to find you the best apps for working in graphic design. (Sorry Android people, this article may not be for you, but we are working in the Google Play Store as we speak to help you too!)

**1. Color Expert**

[Color Expert](http://www.code-line.com/software/colorexpert/) is an application guide that includes tools to facilitate the color settings, the process of capture, and a combination of several colors. In addition, this application will also allow you to add color to your wishes, this is must have iPhone app.

**2. My Pantone**

[My Pantone iPhone Apps](http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mypantone/id329515634?mt=8) are applications that are specifically used to create several color combinations that exist so as to produce a unique color for your liking. This application is used if you do not find the colors found on your iPhone. Existing navigation on this application will allow you to do the color mixing of several kinds of colors available.

**3. CliqCliq**

**[CliqCliq](http://itunes.apple.com/app/cliqcliq-colors/id291725775?mt=8) **allows you to find the exact colors you wish to use and immediately converts them to a variety of scales and formats. Integrate your iPhone camera and automatically extract colors with this simple palette app.If you're a designer or developer working with CSS, HTML, Flex, Flash, Objective-C or other media-centric technologies, you'll spend a good amount of time finding the exact colors you want to use and converting between various scales and formats. With cliqcliq Colors, you can create palettes based on colors you like best and quickly convert between RGB, HSB, and CMYK as well as integer and floating point scales.

**4. Cailper**

**[Caliper](http://www.simpleyetsound.com/Caliper.html) **is a nifty measuring tool that ,like its names states, uses caliper like jaws to measure objects. Ever wish you had a ruler or caliper handy? Wish no more! With the Caliper app, you can take easy, precise measurements wherever you are. Simply place the object you want to measure on or next to your iPhone or iPod Touch, then adjust the caliper jaws till they are right against the edges of the object.You can quickly and independently move the upper and lower jaw of the caliper with the swift move of a finger. This app takes measurement in pixels, inches, and centimeters.

**5. The Typography Manual**

**[The Typography Manual](http://www.typographyapp.com/)** is a valuable reference resource for anyone passionate about working with type, complete with practical hints and tips for setting text, working with special characters and getting to grips with the terminology involved. There are also neat little tools such as an Em Calculator for scalable web type, and a font-size ruler.
