"I feel like Ive been handed the keys to life." -Dylan Mierzwinski, Project Manager and Digital Media Specialist
r>As a kid, Dylan had her little hands in everything that would allow her to express her creativity; painting, drawing, baking, singing. Her chosen career was always right in front of her face, but she didnt notice it until her mom pointed out that she walked around with a video camera attached to her hand. Of course Dylan had reservations about her decision to pursue her dream of working in Digital Media, being a student at EMU at the time. She often found herself thinking but an artistic career isnt dependable in which her Mom responded you have to do what makes you happy. Now she is singing a different tune; loving her chosen career and loving life! Its been the most dependable choice Ive ever made. Dylan says when describing why she decided to attend Specs Howard, once I found Specs it was a no-brainer.
Dylan says that Specs Howard gave her the knowledge and the skills to be successful, while reinforcing the idea that showing up on time and doing the work will aid in her success and keep her current in the industry. If she had never listened to her mother, and not attended Specs, she feels she would still be worrying about her future but still making art. Now she is relocating to New Orleans to start her new career as the Project Manager and Digital Media Specialist for Sader Power. We are so proud of Dylans accomplishments, and wish her best of luck in her future endeavors.
